Apart from experiencing it yourself, the next best way to get a glimpse of the tantalizing delights on offer in sin city Jakarta might be to watch the new film “Jakarta Undercover”.
Directed by Erwin Arnada – who is also on the editorial board of Playboy Indonesia – the film is being released under the Velvet Media group on 22 March 2007.
Adapted from the steamy book written by Moammar Emka, the film focuses on just one of the stories in the book: the life of a striptease artist who has an autistic sibling.
And who plays the role of the striptease artist in the film you ask yourself?
Well, none other than the Austrian-Balinese sex-bomb, Luna Maya.
Now if that ain’t a reason to see the film I don’t know what is.

But perhaps Dewa 19’s lead vocalist Ahmad Dhani only got what he deserved. After all, threesome romps may sound like fun but there’s always payback time. Even if one of your partners had been your wife.

And, as it turned out, it didn’t take too long before lovely Maia was engaging in some steamy “extracurricular activities” herself.

Word on the street says it was a top executive at one of Indonesia’s national TV broadcasters. I won’t mention the name of the broadcaster but they produce a programme called Extravaganza.

Ahmad Dhani even says he has “recorded evidence”. Whatever he might mean by that. It could be a spy camera was set up of course, or more likely perhaps, he found a video of the visceral couplings on Maia’s handphone.

Let’s just hope it ain’t too long before the “recorded evidence” is made available to the public. And that it lives up to expectations, of course. But I’m sure it will. Aren’t you?

Dian Sastrowardoyo

Diandra Paramitha Sastrowardoyo- better known as Dian Sastrowardoyo- started her career as a cover girl in Gadis teen magazine 10 years ago. Her second film Pasir Berbisik (Whispering Sands) in 2001 boosted her popularity and won her the best actress award at the 15th Singapore International Film Festival and the Asian Film Festival in Deauville, France both in 2002.

The latest endeavor of this philosophy graduate is to host the Indonesian version of “Who wants to be a millionaire?”

"I want to teach at the University of Indonesia’s school of philosophy," she mused.

Well known for her impeccably bad dress sense and bizarre hairdos, 20-year old Agnes Monica doesn’t really care. And why should she? After all, she is one of Indonesia’s highest earning celebrities, commanding huge fees for her acting and singing “skills”. But maybe this poor taste is what gives her the edge over the competition. And just like the State’s Brittany Spears, she loves to play on her naughty school girl image as she stuts her kinky stuff. But perhaps she should go back to school to learn to spell. Cos what the hell does “Chuxy Precious” mean?
